HOW IS TECHNOLOGY USED IN ROOM A-4?
1. Teacher consistently uses assessment data to guide instruction (using IO).
2. Teacher creates SBAC-formatted quizzes and tests to constantly assess student learning. Teacher posts quizzes on Canvas/Google Classroom with immediate student feedback.
3. Students use this website for reminders of procedures and policies, online resources, learning center class work (Technology Center), and projects.
4. Teacher and students have class online using Canvas/Google Classroom where teacher and students can communicate via messages, students complete online projects, upload work (essays on Google Docs & slide presentations, etc.), do online research, and hold online discussions, journal, take quizzes, etc. Click here to see example student activities.
5. Students write essays, narratives, etc. with word processing tools, including 5 student desktop computers and one-to-one Chromebooks.
6. Students complete online research and create individual and group interactive Google Slides presentations & movies of topics studied in class to be presented to the class using the LCD projector.
7. Teacher uses teacher laptop, LCD projector, and Visualizer Document Camera to conduct lessons and give presentations.
8. Students create career-related documents on topics studied in class using Google Docs/Sites.
9. Students use Google Apps for Education and several online websites to create assignments or to share learning, including Coggle (word bubble graphic organizers), Padlet (online sticky note and photo sharing), Flipgrid (video recording), Prezi (online presentation format), Moovly (animated videos), Canva (for infographics, advertisements, career-related documents, etc.), etc.
10. Teacher uses TED-Ed Videos and YouTube to show video clips of standards-based learning.
11. Students use 30 class digital cameras to take photos to include in presentations, videos and other assignments, including pictorials and creating a magazine.

14. Students will have the opportunity to use coding (Scratch) for projects or other online platforms available to them at home (Minecraft) or school.
